Hello Travellers,
as the COVID-19 pandemic keeps getting worse during the second spike in cases, governments all over the world are trying to cut down the rate by imposing partial lockdowns or full lockdowns on cities or regions. Travelling in 2020 has been a challenge for many. Most of us can't even go out to our local restaurants or shops. To make this period more enjoyable for you, we've come up with corona chronicles.
Here are some things you can try out to make your lockdown more enjoyable.
1. Join an online experience
Online experiences and virtual tours are interactive sessions, conducted over Zoom video calls by guides around the world, for small groups of "tourists" stuck at home. Over the course of an hour, the hosts dive into a wide range of artistic, cultural, musical, culinary or even athletic topics!
The experience also has different interactive methods and games. So you really get to meet new people in new places and lose yourself in another world.
where can i visit these online experiences?
Travel to Florence and visit the Uffizi Gallery. Join an expert guide on a live tour and discover one of Italy's most famous museums from the comfort of your home.
Did you have travel plans to Paris in 2020 and missed out due to the pandemic? Well, sulk no more. Join the Louvre virtual tour on a fully interactive virtual tour of the museum filled with photos, videos, polls, and a live Q&A.
If you want to do and experience more head on over to Get Your Guide and book your tours or other online experiences.
2. Cook new international dishes
What is a holiday trip without trying local delicious delicacies or dishes. Try making varied dishes at home ranging from different culture and regions you would have travelled to pre lockdown. If you really want to learn more join a virtual class and get on with it.
3. Teach yourself something amazing
Have you always wanted to dance? Go ahead learn a new dance today. The goal is to teach yourself something new. Tap the internet: Search on YouTube for whatever skill you find interesting. It is free and I'm sure there is an online course for everything on YouTube.
For example, I taught myself how to build computers from scratch. From buying the parts to assembly and I can say I'm now a novice computer builder who can help others and know what I'm talking about.
Hopefully we have given you some inspiration and motivation to make your lockdown enjoyable. Until next week when we return with the second Corona Chronicles.
